If you like our annual "Voices from Eureka's Silent City" held every year in October, you are in for a treat! The Eureka Spring Historical Museum announces dates and details regarding the 2nd Annual Eureka Springs 4th of July Birthday Stroll, starting at the former High School, (now the Eureka Springs Community Center site), on Kingshighway and ending at Vestal Cottage located at 12 Summit Street.
This fun-filled historical event will take place on Saturday, July 1st and Sunday July 2nd, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Tours will leave the parking lot every 30 minutes, with tours lasting one hour.
The event will focus on the “upper loop” of Eureka Springs. You will learn the history of residents who resided in this fascinating area of Eureka Springs, and also you will learn the history of the former high school that was located on Kingshighway, teachers who taught there, and many other interesting narratives.
Ticket price includes the stroll, with birthday cake and ice cream at the end. Live music will also be provided for entertainment.
And remember, if planning on taking the tour, our historic limestone sidewalks are uneven, so proceed with caution. And also remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, as this is a lengthy walk. ESHM is not responsible for accidents.
